The Southern Black Hills in South Dakota
Is the home of unsurpassed beauty with a business climate you won’t find anywhere else. Study after study ranks South Dakota as one of the best states in the union to do business in, and one of the highest quality of life. The Southern Black Hills, located in the southwest corner of the state, offers four seasons filled with untouched beauty, right-sized communities,  affordable housing and affordable business expansion opportunities with quality education plus tons of recreation.

We are a four season community. You'll awake to the sounds of meadowlarks singing in the Spring and Summer. Play golf, soak in the warm, pristine waters, explore, hike or bike or horseback ride the Mikelson Trail, fish, boat and camp at the beautiful Angostura Lake.  During fall & winter seasons, enjoy hunting for turkey, deer and elk. Winters are mild and you can enjoy cross country skiing, ice-fishing, photography, or just a cozy mug of hot chocolate.

Take a second look at the Southern Black Hills. It really is a great place to grow your business, live, work, or retire. We are a growing community offering comprehensive healthcare. Fall River Health Services is a complete health care system that serves Fall River County and our surrounding communities. Contact us today or call us at 605.745.3551.

HOT SPRINGS STREET PROJECT NOW COMPLETE

The Hot Springs Urban Reconstruction Project, a South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT) urban street reconstruction project which included concrete surfacing, lighting, curb and gutter, suspended sidewalk, storm sewer, and the City of Hot Springs water and sanitary sewer main upgrades is now officially completed as of December 2024. The project was necessitated by the infrastructure being at the end of its useful life.

The highway through Hot Springs had not had a major rebuild for 50 to 80 years. The lanes were narrow and difficult to maneuver, alignment was not ideal, parking had been an issue and the City's utilities needed an upgrade. All of these substantial elements of the project are now completed resulting in a downtown that features up-to-date streets, sidewalks, and infrastructure. The crown jewel of the project has to be the suspended bridge that is located on North River Street and provides an excellent view of Fall River and Centennial Park.
